Veselka's vision is to be a recognized as a dance school of excellence, with a focus on Ukrainian dance. Ukrainian dance classes are not just for dancers of Ukrainian heritage but rather, for all aspiring dancers who want to experience the artistry and energy of this national dance artform!

Costumes provided. Proper footwear andstudio attireis required.

Additional Classes

In order to fully master the discipline of Ukrainian dance, we highly recommend that students in Junior Classes and above add additional classes in Ballet, Yoga or both to their Ukrainian dance class.

Ukrainian Classes

Beginner class is offered for 3 - 5 year olds to develop musicality and movement, coordination and social skills, as well as basic steps from the Poltava region of Ukraine. The children will have performances throughout out the year, but no competitions are entered.

Junior classes are offered for children aged 6 - 12. As dancers progress through the curriculum their work is complemented by choreography and progressively more competitive and non competitive performance opportunities.

Intermediate class is recommended for students aged 12 -14 years.

Senior class is designed for dancers age 14 and over who are dancing, have danced or wish to dance at a pre-professional level. Dancers at the intermediate and senior levels will have the opportunity to learn and perform dances from different regions of Ukraine such as, Poltava, Hutzul, Volyn, Polissia, Bukoyvian, Boiko, Transcarpathian and character dances.

All classes are subject to sufficient enrollment. Fees include Costume rental, Taxes and Festival Fees and are eligible for Child Fitness Tax Credit.
