We need your help raising funds for our bursary program. Your donations help fund the entire dance experience for kids who might not otherwise be able to attend.
We are a not-for-profit organization only, therefore you will not receive a tax receipt.
Fundraising
Veselka has operated as a non-profit for over 50 years! We fund our organization through regional and provincial grant programs, enrollment in classes and the support of our community through fundraising and donations.
Fundraising is not only crucially important to maintain accessible class prices and ensuring a viable organization, but it also creates a unique atmosphere of working with the families to produce events that share Ukrainian culture with everyone. A highlight each year, is the two Perogy Suppers that Veselka hosts at the Ukrainian Cultural Center. Learning to pinch perogies has become a right of passage when you join Veselka! The Board of Directors helps lead the families in organizing fundraising events so let us know what skills and interests you have. We strongly request all families send at least one family member, especially the kids, to participate at each of our events. There’s always flexibility in availability and veteran families to show you the ropes.
